Installation Process

Concrete Substrate: The Tufco Floor Begins with an extensive process involving mechanical and chemical cleaning and other preparation methods, and detailing of cracks and floor terminations.

Layer 1:  A penetrating primer seals and strengthens the concrete and serves to bond subsequent layers.

Layer 2:  A fill layer of resin and silica sand provides the initial strength-building block of the Tufco Floor.

Layer 3:  A second filled resin layer contours and fills, providing flatness and uniform slope assuring complete drainage.

Layer 4:  A resin-saturated aluminum oxide layer provides ultimate wear resistance and long lasting non-skid properties.

Layer 5:  A second resin-saturated aluminum oxide layer provides ultimate wear resistance and long lasting non-skid properties.

Layer 6:  Resins with designed corrosion resistance and chemically bonded additives provide a complete seal further guaranteeing impermeability.
